Blue River Studio LLC And Karen Hitchcock's Creations

About Karen's Creations

I am a glass enthusiast (FANATIC) that started in glass fusing about 20 years ago after my husband purchased a kiln for me at Christmas. That set me on a path of experimentation, research, and realizing glass as the medium to release my inner artistic demons.

This Journey has lead me to take classes in Glass fusing and Glass blowing/torch work.  Through all this I have enjoyed learning the physics of glass and the experimentation into different techniques linked to the styles of glass creations.

In August of 2015 my husband and I moved to Johnson City TN where I am following my dreams of being a full time Artist and Instructor. My current work is an extensive variety of items that includes functional plates and vessels, whimsical or more abstract pieces, personal jewelry and adornment items, mosaics, and wall or window art. You can view some of my work on public display in Elizabethton TN and Johnson City TN. I also attend  various Arts and Craft  shows and exhibit at galleries in the area. Please stop by my “What’s Happening page to find out where you can see me and my work and visit my on-line SQUARE site at https://blue-river-studio-l-l-c.square.site/

I’m Tom Hitchcock and have always been fascinated with Sight and Sound. After 35 years in the Electronics Engineering field and a career as a musician, I have found a passion in capturing Artists, Nature, and Stories in North East Tennessee. Check out some productions that Karen and I have been involved with here, and at our Memory Sound & Sight Cue Facebook page here. Feel free to contact us with your needs or ideas.

My husband and I continue to get inspiration through contact with nature while enjoying hiking, a game of golf, fishing from my Kayak, or a bike ride on the Tweetsie Trial. We love to take pictures of subjects that spark that new fanatic creation, especially in the mountains of Tennessee! See you around !
